Miss Aprajita Kohli, our Director, eloquently shared her deep personal connection to Punjab and the spiritual home of the Sikh faith during her address on the live Sikh Channel broadcast. Her message went beyond a simple announcement; it was a heartfelt affirmation of shared principles, particularly the drive for community upliftment and the empowerment of the next generation. She conveyed her pride in this heritage and the immense opportunity to support the global Sikh community.
Vaisakhi, an essential festival for Sikhs, Punjabis, and Punjab in India and all over the world. The festival marks the start of the religious Punjabi new year and is celebrated with great pomp and show.
At the Sikh Channel Birmingham, the Vaisakhi was much more special, and the message was sent to the entire community. Sikh Channel celebrated its 10th anniversary, which also marked the commemoration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birth anniversary.
Sikh Channel Birmingham organize this Vaisakhi event every year on 13th or 14th April.
At The Sikh Channel, the team organized an event under the instruction of Mr. Davinder Bal, Founder and CEO of Sikh Channel and Sikh Channel Aid.
Sikh Channel is the world’s first free-to-air 24/7 Sikh faith-based television channel, broadcasting the religious faith and Values of Sikhism. The aim is to bring the community together and to understand the values of religion by promoting all faiths through programming for all, including Sikhs and non-Sikhs.

Thanks to Mr. Bal for giving us the chance to learn more about Sikh Channel and the strong principles it follows and works on. “ I am Aprajita Kohli, Director of Megrisoft UK. We are 27 a 27-year-old company and we have been working in the UK for the past 17 years. Megrisoft is headquartered in India and has commercial operations in the UK, the US, and Canada. With my personal connections in Punjab, I have studied at Yadavindra Public School, which is Maharaja Patiala School and is now managed by the Chief Minister of Punjab. We are here today to collaborate with Sikh Channel, to promote Sikh Youth, and raise awareness of the issue of Women’s Empowerment. We are based in London and will provide initial support to youth connected with Sikh Channel for their jobs, Digital CVs, startup creation, and future planning. Youth will be able to gain training through internships with our company and even secure better-paid jobs. I have personally worked with the British High Commission, Chandigarh, and discussed various Issues of Women’s empowerment during my last mission, during which we had the chance to speak with the Lord Mayor of Manchester and the Lord Mayor of London. So we look forward to seeing you all associated with Sikh Channel and bringing the society together.
